INTRODUCTION
TO LITERATURE : MAKING A SHORT STORY
RIANY’S
FIRST LOVE
This
is the year where Riany enters senior high school. She chooses the best school
inher town. At first, although she graduated from junior high school with a
very good mark, she still feel unconfidence with herself. She is a beautifull
girl, but she don’t know how to style and to be fashionable. All her clothes
are vintage and bad model. But she keeps standing and keeps choosing the best
school. And she enters the best class in the school.
In the first month after orientation
period, she join an extracurriculer namely PASKI. She looks around the students
in the school, they are so fashionable. More over, she starts to like some of
her seniors because they are so handsome.
When all her friends look at her,
they will never feel interested at her. Riany doesn’t know how to socialize.
She finds friends with same look with her. She and her friends like to study
together and have fun together. She has five best friend after three months
learn in that school. They are Wiwin, Iren, Isma, Ira and Gusti.
Wiwin sits beside Riany. She is
beautiful now. It’s different with three months ago. She become like that,
because she has a boyfriend. She has a
white skin and cute face. But she is from a village and has a very funny
accent. But she is clever and easy to memorize the lessons. Iren sits behind
Riany. She is a funny girl. She wears veil and glasses. Her voice is nice to be
listened if she sings a song. She is very clever in exact lessons. Isma sits
next to Iren. She is beautifull too. But she is talk active and lazy to do
exact homework. She is the youngest from others. Ira and Gusti sit together
behind Iren and Isma. They are so calm. Ira and Gusty have clean and white
skin. They are dilligent and hard worker. But they are funny friends for Riany.
Just Riany who never has a
boyfriend. She just like them as well not to make a relation with the men and
others. She has a promise not to have a boyfriend before entering college. But
the promise makes her trouble. In fact, Riany starts to fall in love in the mid
way of the first grade. She falls in love with her class leader, a leader from
the best class.
His name is Bayu Ardiputra. But his
friends call him Bayu. He is very handsome. He is different from other boys in
the school. He is kind and clever. This time, Riany really really love him.
More over in the second semester, she always be one group with him. Riany is
very nervous when looking closely to Bayu. This can make her crazy.
No one know if Riany like Bayu in
that way because Riany hides her feeling and there are so many girls like Bayu.
They are beautifull, fashionable, rich and clever. Riany thinks she will not be
able to compete with them. Because she feels she is so lack of perfectness. And
Bayu is too perfect to be with an unperfect girl like her. Oh God, she is very
difficult with this way.
At the end of first grade year, her
best friend know about her feeling to Bayu. The best memory she tells to her
bestfriends are when Bayu drive her home and the time when she beside Bayu and
have a talk with him. This memory will always in her mind because for the next
grade, she believes that she will not be classmate again with Bayu. Her friends
advice her to tell the truth to Bayu but she refuses. It is very impossible she
thinks.
“this is my first love. I don’t know
if he loves me or not. I just feel happy for this time loving him. I don’t
really need to be his girlfriend. It will kill my characters and promise. May
be I’ll keep like this.” Said Riany to her friends.
It almost five years, Riany has a
boyfiend now, her first boyfriend, Agus. But she never forget Bayu in her mind
although she has a boyfriend with the same personality with Bayu. It has been
over one year become Agus’s girlfriend. But she is hard to choose for her
future. She just let the time answer this. She just hope to get the best for
her life.
